A note about artistic freedom

I absolutely adore having the luxury of artistic freedom.

You are always welcome to give me themes and prompts, especially for specific scenes and narrative works,
but I vastly prefer having control of the overall image result.

A little extra freedom gives me wiggle-room to experiment, which helps me capture the best potential mood, colors, lighting, composition and other details that may otherwise be lost by adhering to rigid instructions.

If you need something super specifically tailored to your needs and aren’t comfortable giving me completely free range that’s perfectly ok!

But I’m much more likely to accept prompts that excite me by giving me enough space to really work some magic for you!

So what does an enticing prompt look like?

Here are a few great open-ended prompt examples!

➤ “My character is sweet and playful, draw them eating strawberry ice cream, I’d like it if the ice cream was melting!”

➤ “My character is a tease, do something sexy with rope! I’d like it if the rope was black and if you can see their massive XXXX!”

➤ “My character is a battle hardened warrior with a dramatic backstory, I’d love them in the aftermath of a battle with some cool armor!

This longsword is their weapon of choice. And I’d like it if the mood was X.”

➤ “I like knives and gummy-worms, So I’d like some colorful candy-gore with that theme! My favorite colors are X, and X!”

Alternatively, I love hearing about characters’ personalities and lore; getting to know your character is always a great jumping off point!

I needed a cool armor design, like… a really cool armor design, So of course I went to Knightly!

Where can you even find someone willing to articulate heavy plate for tails and claws in this day and age?
I tell you it’s impossible! But Knightly absolutely came through for me! They’re the only artist I trust with my most intimate armor details.
